Sierra Bride -  Reno's Best Wedding Planning Website

When planning everything to the last minute detail you do not want to over look making yourself just as memorable as everything else you have painstakingly planned.

Plan yourself a couple of days of beauty, this is to include a trial run of the hair and makeup so that last minute adjustments can be made.  The cautious bride might even plan more than one estithician to see if there is a difference in style that might suit her better.  Even going so far as writing up a small contract might not be a bad idea to ensure your expectations are known and met when it comes to your most perfect day.

Bridal Beauty Checklist:

Up to 2 Weeks Before

  1. Get your final haircut, just a trim really nothing that might be shocking just before your wedding.
  2. Hair color touch ups, highlights and conditioning.
  3. Start breaking in those shoes, wear them when ever you can at home so they are more comfortable for dancing the night away.  This one counts toward pretty and happy feet.

The time is near, 1 Week Before

  1. Have all waxing complete in the first part of this week so that blotchy spots will have a change to simmer down prior to the wedding day.  This includes having your eyebrows shaped.
  2. Do a full wedding day hair run through, style with your tiara, veil, clips and what ever else you might have to adorn you.
  3. Confirm your stylist arrival time and exact count of ladies that are getting ready with you.  TIP: this is where most Bride run in to trouble, there is a last minute Bridesmaid or a mother that ends up wanting to get their hair done and it tosses your perfectly planned day out the window.  Corners will have to be cut to save time and that means they might be cut on you.  Play it safe and get a final count and stick to it.
  4. Do a full wedding day makeup run through, style with lashes and all the color you and your makeup artist have selected.  Make sure you feel like the prettiest you that you can be (keep it natural).
  5. Confirm your makeup artist arrival time and exact count of ladies that are getting ready with you for the big day.  Above tip applies here as well, and don’t forget the flower girls they like lip gloss too and it takes time so plan for it.

Oh my, crunch time and are still keeping it cool, 1 Day Before

  1. Taking care of the fingers and toes, get a manicure and pedicure just for the pure enjoyment of doing it.  If your salon offers paraffin manicures they are great for making everything smooth and baby soft.
  2. Apply a good moisturizer head to toe and call it good.

You are official ready for your wedding day, don’t forget to relax and get plenty of rest the night before.
